GET INVOLVED

Church is more than a Sunday service; it’s a community. Whether you’re new to Miami Shores Community Church or have been here for years, there are many ways to connect, serve, and share your gifts. However you choose to participate, you are invited to be part of the life and work of this welcoming and affirming community.

Our congregation partners with local organizations and nonprofits in meaningful, hands-on ways, including singing at nursing homes, painting murals, collecting food and essential items through Pass It On Ministries, and supporting outreach efforts across our Miami community. Whether through ongoing ministries or special service projects throughout the year, we look for opportunities to show up, lend a hand, and serve our neighbors with compassion and care.

Serving Our Community

As a progressive Christian community, we believe our faith calls us to actively pursue justice. Members of our church participate in peaceful gatherings, community forums, and advocacy efforts that support human dignity, equality, and inclusion. We stand alongside our neighbors, lend our voices, and show up for causes that reflect Christ’s call to love and care for one another. For us, social justice is not separate from our faith but a natural expression of it.

Standing for Justice

If you love to sing, there’s a place for you in our choir. If you play an instrument, our music director will help you find a way to share your musical gift during worship. You might also volunteer as a reader, serve as a greeter, or  provide refreshments for our post-worship social hourWhether your role is visible or behind the scenes, each contribution helps create a meaningful and welcoming experience each week. Your gifts truly matter here.
