OUR LEADERSHIP

Rev. Daniel Morales

PASTOR

Rev. Daniel Morales serves as Pastor of Miami Shores Community Church, bringing thoughtful leadership, deep faith, and a strong commitment to community engagement. A former banker, Danny answered a call to ministry and earned his Master of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2015.

Prior to his ministry at Miami Shores Community Church, Danny served as Director of University Ministries at Riviera Presbyterian Church, where he cultivated meaningful spiritual formation among young adults. (Clergy from the Presbyterian Church (USA), the United Church of Christ, and several other progressive Protestant denominations are welcome to serve each other's congregations.)

Danny also serves as pastor of New Covenant Presbyterian Church, a historic Black congregation in Allapattah that we cherish as our sister in Christ. Beyond our local communities, Danny remains active in the broader Presbyterian Church (USA). He currently serves on the Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Relations of the PC(USA) Interim Unified Agency, was elected Moderator Elect of the Presbytery of Tropical Florida in November 2022, and was elected Moderator of the Presbytery of Tropical Florida for the January 2024–January 2025 term.

Pastor Danny is committed to guiding Miami Shores Community Church as a welcoming, affirming, and justice-oriented community of faith; grounded in love and engaged in the life of our neighborhood.
